VitaSend is a native PS Vita implementation of the LocalSend protocol (v2.1), written in C with VitaSDK. It allows the console to exchange files, folders and text messages with devices running LocalSend on the same local network. It is not a port of the original Flutter-based LocalSend code, so it is not affiliated with the LocalSend project.
The application includes a touch-enabled interface with a dark and a pure-black (OLED) theme, a file browser for the memory cards, a transfer history, favourites and an optional PIN for incoming transfers. Received .vpk packages can be installed directly, individually, from a queue, or optionally automatically for favourite devices. The installer follows the procedure used by VitaShell. A screensaver shows the progress of running transfers and installations. Transfers are encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2, self-signed certificate) via mbedTLS. Files are checked with SHA-256 where the sender provides a checksum.
