Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Vita is a native port of the Game Boy Advance game Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (USA) to the PS Vita, built on the community decompilation of the game (Pheenoh/khcom). The game's code is recompiled for the Vita's ARM processor and runs natively; the GBA's hardware is replaced by a platform layer written for the Vita, and only the GBA's picture processor is reproduced in software, rendered on two CPU cores and presented with vitaGL at a stable 60 fps.
The game is drawn 282 pixels wide instead of 240 and shown full screen at 960x544 in 16:9. The additional space shows more of each scene: backgrounds in events, battles and the card-built field rooms are extended with the game's own map data, and characters, enemies, items and effects remain visible in it. Menus and interface screens made for the original screen size are shown at their original width with black bars. Original 3:2 and stretched display modes are also available, with linear or nearest filtering.
Additions over the GBA version include one-button card stocking and sleights (L+R mapped to a single button), a dedicated dodge-roll button, analog stick movement, a skippable movie playback, and Sora's HP display shown while exploring the field as well as in battle.
