VagaChatVITA is a homebrew application written in C that brings the VagaRoute AI experience to PlayStation Vita. Its interface is designed for the console’s screen, featuring button-based navigation, touch support, and a dark appearance inspired by modern chat clients.
When launched, the application asks for the user’s name and saves it locally on the Vita. It then opens a chat screen with a message composer, persistent history, endpoint settings, a masked API key, and a model selector.
The chat uses an OpenAI-compatible chat/completions API, receives responses via streaming, and keeps the interface active while the response is being generated. The “Check Connection” option queries the /models route of the configured endpoint.
