Still having problems with that little brother or sister messing around with your PlayStation Portable? Well, you're in luck because homebrew developer Auraomega just dropped by QJ.NET PSP Development Forum and released a new build for nifty application PSPLock.
To those who've missed our previous coverage on this program, take note that it does what exactly its name says - it locks the PSP unit so that you and you alone can use it. After installing the program, you have to remove the memory stick and then you're done. Anyway, here is the changelog for PSPLock v2.1:
- Ok, I've sorted out the problem that stopped you accessing the internet browser. For the keen eyed, you may notice that it loads CXMB plugin into RAM, but that's all it does, it still doesn't work correctly, but I AM working on this as much as I can.
- Due to popular demand I've added text output, and a manual input, both of which can be turned on and off. A config file can be used, it should contain 3 digits, 0 or 1, each telling the PSP what to do.
- I also removed a nasty bug that seemed to affect only 2 people, the bug meant that even if both lock.lock files were correct the PSP would still act a brick.
- I've changed the speed the delays cause when doing manual input, and also changed the time taken to load the VSH when the password is correct. Also, if you have the text output disabled, it now loads without any delays.
- Size has been almost halved too for those low on flash memory
Auraomega bundled a very important Readme file with PSPLock v2.1. Please refer to it first before installing the program on your PSP units as it contains a lot of importan information and instructions.

For those of you who want some privacy on your PlayStation Portable, here's a bit of a treat from homebrew developer, Auraomega. The dev dropped by QJ's PSP Forums to release PSPLock version 2.
If you weren't able to catch the first release a couple of days ago, here's a bit of a primer on the PSP application. In case you've been having a problem with the other people messing up your PSP, PSPLock will prove to be very nifty for you since, as the name suggests, it locks them out. Basically, you need to save the

It really sucks to have unwanted folks barging in on your PSP, eh? Well those intruders have now found their match in the form of Auraomega's smart PSPLock. As the name suggests, and as the situation above implies, this app locks out users.
Now, you basically would have to flash it in manually, but the author does reassure that once it is installed, there's no looking back that dark tunnel of PSP insecurity. And it's a quick fix, too, as all you'll need to have would be a memory card. Really! You won't have to go cross-eyed poring over some infinitissimal passcodes cause your smart PSP will be doing all the tricks for you.
But before you go galloping off behind PSPLock, Auraomega warns that he's running it with a 3.10OE-A. Now, it should be able to work just as smoothly on other version, but just to be on the safe side, you better make sure you've got your back-ups down pat. Just in case.
Anyhow, the full instructions are included in the Read Me, as well as some other useful details and info. While you're at it, we suggest you check out our thread on it over at our forums as well.
