RecompStore changelog
v2.7.4 · Oct 30, 2026
RecompStore 2.7.4
- Setting up a game is faster: disc images on the same drive as the game are moved into place instead of copied, so it takes a second and doesn't need room for a second copy. Files from another drive, like a USB stick, are still copied.
- Game pages with lots of files to set up now fit their panel. It scrolls to whatever you're on, with a scroll bar on its edge.
Something not working right? Send your logs from the app's page in RecompStore. Every log helps.

v2.7.3 · Oct 26, 2026
RecompStore 2.7.3
- RecompStore now comes in Bahasa Indonesia, ไทย and Українська. It follows your PS5's language, or pick one in Settings.
- Thai has its own font, long lines wrap cleanly between words, and tone marks sit where they belong.
- Numbers are written the way each new language writes them.
- New: Settings > Storage > Repair RecompStore downloads the store's list, charts and pictures again. Your apps, saves and settings stay.
- When the store can't load its list, it now tells you why (not connected, network couldn't start, or recompstore.com didn't answer) and what to try.

v2.7.2 · Oct 26, 2026
Developers
- Every app shows who made it right under its name, with a Verified developer badge for developers RecompStore has checked.
- Tiles, the Library and search show the developer's name too, with a small check mark for verified developers.
- Each developer has their own page in the store: their picture, a few words about them, their links, a QR code to their page on recompstore.com, and all their apps. Open it from the developer's row on an app's page, or from their card at the start of More from under it.
- Discover can show a developer's apps in a row of their own.
- Send logs on an app from a verified developer says so: your logs go straight to them, and to RecompStore.
Betas
- If you have a beta code for an app that's already out, its beta build shows up in Versions on the app's page. Install it from there, and switch back to the regular version whenever you like.
Fixes
- The store's update now always shows its own patch notes, not the ones from an older version.
- An app's update shows that update's notes too, once they've come in from GitHub.
Keep sending your logs from an app's page. They're how most of this gets fixed.

v2.7.1 · Oct 25, 2026
Fixes
- Stability improvements and a performance boost.
- Updates now reach the store wherever it's installed, including an M.2 or USB drive.
- Lots of small fixes.
If your store is on an M.2 or USB drive, send the new RecompStore-Installer.elf with your payload sender once. Updates from inside the store work from then on.
Keep sending your logs from Settings. They're how most of this gets fixed.

v2.7.0 · Oct 23, 2026
A new look
- Recomp Store is now RecompStore, with a new logo, icon and home screen art.
- A new aurora background runs behind the whole store.
- The store starts with the logo building itself, a soft hum and a chime. Turn the sound off in Settings > General > Boot sound.
- The logo flies up into the top bar, and the store comes in after it.
Discover
- Everything lines up on one grid now, with seven apps in each row.
- The next row peeks up from the bottom of the screen, so you can see what's coming.
- The top bar has a dark shade behind it, so it's easy to read over anything that scrolls under it.
- New icons for Games, Emulators, Apps and Tools.
App pages
- Opening an app slides its page in from the right as the store slides away. Closing it fades back to where you were.
- The button hints sit on a bar of their own, so they never cover the page.
- The right panel sits higher, level with the rest of the page.
- Long credits wrap onto a second line instead of getting cut off.
Downloads
- When you press Install, Update or Update all, the app's icon flies up to Downloads at the top right.
Also
- If the store opens without full access, it says so and tells you what to check.
- Lots of small fixes.
Keep sending your logs from Settings. They're how most of this gets fixed.

v2.6.1 · Oct 23, 2026
Fixes
- Installs work on consoles where the store couldn't see its own homebrew folder. Those installs used to stop with "eboot.bin doesn't match the download after installing", even though the files were fine.
- Send logs now says more about how your homebrew folders look, so problems like this are quicker to track down.
Keep sending your logs from Settings. This fix came straight from them.

v2.6.0 · Oct 22, 2026
Languages
- The store speaks 20 languages. It follows your PS5's language, or pick one in Settings > General > Language.
- Descriptions and patch notes get translated into your language too.
Files
- A full-screen file manager in My Apps > Drives. Copy, move, rename and delete, make folders, and pin the folders you use to Look in.
- Drives shows what's on each drive, apps first. One press takes you to the files.
Updates
- Updates gets its own tab whenever something's waiting. Press Square on a row to read its patch notes right there.
Games
- Every game shows how it's set up: Plug and play, Bring your files or Manual setup.
- Games that need a whole folder of your own files (like Half-Life's valve folder) let you pick the folder and copy it in for you.
- Ready to play keeps checking ShadowMountPlus while you're on a game's page.
Opening a game you just installed
- Press Open right after an install and you get a loading screen while it's added to your home screen. It opens on its own a few seconds later, without the "Can't find the game or app" error.
Also
- Menu music volume goes higher.
- Smoother colour changes as you move between apps.
- Lots of small fixes.
Keep sending your logs from Settings. Most of these fixes came from them.

- Collections, with Install all.
- Type your searches on your phone.
- Restore my apps puts back the apps you had.

v2.2.3 · Oct 21, 2026
Library and My Apps
- Library shows everything in the store: All, Games, Emulators, Apps and Tools, sorted how you like.
- My Apps is what's on your console: Installed, Updates, On this PS5, Drives and Betas.
- On this PS5 lists every homebrew app, even ones that didn't come from the store. Delete, move to another drive or give an app a new title ID, one at a time or several at once.
- Drives shows how much room each drive has and what's using it. USB drives show up when you plug them in.
Installing
- Downloads wait in a queue, so you can keep browsing while they install.
- Pick where an app goes: console storage, M.2 or USB.
- Open on a brand new app waits for its home screen tile, then opens it.
- Auto-update for one app, or for everything.
ShadowMountPlus
- See which version you're running and get the recommended one from Settings.
- Reload it without the store losing your drives.
Also

- Much smoother, especially while something downloads.
- Cleaner patch notes, a new look for app pages and lots of small fixes.

v2.1.0 · Oct 20, 2026
Safer
- The store only accepts a catalog signed on my PC. If anyone tampers with recompstore.com, your store ignores it and keeps the last good one.
- Store updates and beta builds are signed too.
- GitHub apps can only download from their own repo. If an app's download moves somewhere else, the store asks you first.
New
- Go back to an earlier version of a GitHub app or a beta, and keep it there until you choose to update.
- New Discover header styles.
- Each category has its own order (A–Z, most installed, newest, recently updated).
- Testers see what changed in each beta build.

v2.0.1 · Oct 19, 2026
Gets the store ready for the GTA IV beta.
What's new
Title Updates a game reads itself. Some ports install the game themselves from your disc image and its Title Update, like the GTA IV beta. For those, the store now puts the update file in the game's install folder as it is, under the name the game looks for, instead of unpacking it. It still downloads the update for you.

New install: send RecompStore-Installer.elf to your PS5's payload loader on port 9021 (etaHEN, elfldr or another). ShadowMountPlus puts the store on your home screen, and the store updates itself to the newest version the first time it opens.
Needs kstuff and ShadowMountPlus 1.7 Beta 5 or newer.
No game files are included. Every game needs your own legally obtained copy.
Found a bug? Use Send logs on an app's page, or report it at recompstore.com/report.
v2.0.0 · Oct 19, 2026
Recomp Store isn't only for games anymore. Emulators, apps and tools have their own place in the store, and your phone can talk to your PS5.
What's new
Games, Emulators, Apps and Tools. Each has its own tab, and Discover has a button for each. Labels at the top of a tab narrow it down. The Library has everything you've installed, the updates waiting and your betas, with Update All.
60 emulators, apps and tools from the PS5 homebrew scene, each installed from its developer's own GitHub release.
Never writes over another app. If something on your PS5 already uses an app's title ID, the store stops before writing anything and asks. Keep both installs it under a new title ID, and its updates follow it there.
Link a phone. Settings > Link a phone shows a QR code. Scan it, and from recompstore.com you can see what's on your PS5, send it installs and add sources. A bug report can be finished on your phone, with screenshots.
Sources. Add a GitHub repo or a list of repos in Settings > Sources. Their apps show up in the store, marked as not checked by Recomp Store.
Install to a drive. With Advanced mode on (Settings > Customize), new apps can go to the M.2 SSD, extended storage or a USB drive. Updates go where an app already is.
And more. .7z releases install. Icons load several at a time. Triangle refreshes the store. After an install the store asks ShadowMountPlus again a few seconds later, so the app reaches your home screen without a manual refresh. An app's page shows how many consoles have it, counted without saying who.

v1.1.3 · Oct 19, 2026
More release zips install, so more games can join the store.
What's new
Games packed a different way now install. Some ports put their game folder one level down in the zip next to their notes, or ship two games in one zip. Perfect Eye, for one, has Perfect Dark and GoldenEye 007. The store now installs the folder named after the game's title ID and leaves the rest out. That brings Perfect Dark, GoldenEye 007 and Ninja Gaiden II to the store.

v1.1.2 · Oct 18, 2026
Beta games download properly, and games can use just part of a disc.
What's new
Beta downloads. In 1.1.1 a beta game could sit on Downloading with an empty bar and never finish. Beta zips now come down in 4 MB pieces, each with a time limit. A piece that stalls is asked for again from where it stopped, and the bar shows how far along it is.
Part of a disc. A game can take just its own folder from a disc. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 copies only Budokai 3 from the Budokai HD Collection, not Budokai 1 or the collection's menu. The store checks the disc first, so one from another region is turned away before anything is copied.
Updates leave your files alone. A game can name its settings, saves and game files, and installing a new version never writes over them.

v1.1.1 · Oct 18, 2026
Fixes setting up original Xbox games like Def Jam: Fight for NY.
What's fixed
Original Xbox discs. Set up game files only took Xbox 360 discs, so an original Xbox disc was turned away with "This disc image has no default.xex" and nothing was copied. Original Xbox discs now set up, from an .xiso.iso or a full disc image. If Def Jam said its game files weren't found, update the store, open the game's page and press Set up game files again.

v1.1.0 · Oct 17, 2026
Beta games, and a way to send your logs.
What's new
Redeem a code. Settings has a new Redeem a code page. Enter a code like 12-345-678 and a game in testing unlocks on your console. It shows up in your Library with a Beta tag.
Send logs. Every game's page has a Send logs button. It sends the store's log and the game's own logs, with a message if you want to add one, so problems can be tracked down. Your saves and game files aren't sent.

v1.0.9 · Oct 16, 2026
Fixes the update that kept coming back for Spider-Man: Edge of Time.
What's fixed
Updates for every version style. Some games tag their releases like V.1.1.1. The store read those as an old version, so after installing the update it offered the same update again, and an older copy of the game wasn't offered it at all. Those versions now read correctly, and the store shows them as 1.1.1.

v1.0.8 · Oct 14, 2026
The store can now download a game's Title Update for you, and games whose files are named with capital letters set up properly.
What's new
Download a game's Title Update. When a game needs an update, its page offers Download next to it. Press it, then Set up game files: the store gets that exact update, checks it, and puts it where the game expects it. You can still choose your own update file instead.
Game files in any case. A disc whose files are named with capitals (like Default.xex) now shows as set up, and an update that shares a game's folder only counts once it's really there.

v1.0.7 · Oct 14, 2026
Games from Xbox Live Arcade can now be set up from the game's own file.
What's new
Xbox Live Arcade games from their own file. Some games, like NBA Jam: On Fire Edition, came from Xbox Live Arcade, so what you have is one file from your console rather than a disc. On the game's page, choose it under Your game files: it's the file with a long name of letters and numbers in the game's 000D0000 folder. The store checks it's the right game and that there's room, then unpacks it where the game expects it.

v1.0.6 · Oct 14, 2026
Discover scrolls down through sections, games that are coming soon get a row of their own, and games can ask for your own ROM or data files.
What's new
- Discover goes down, not sideways. Below the featured banner, the games are a list you scroll down through, with an arrow at the bottom when there's more. Discover is now arranged in sections from the store's website: rows, grids, wide tiles and a still spotlight banner.
- Coming soon. Games that aren't out yet get a Coming soon row in Discover, with a date when there is one, and a page of their own.
- Latest Updates and Library scroll. Long lists no longer run under the button hints in the corner.
- Your own files. A game can now ask for a ROM or data files you own, such as a Nintendo 64 ROM or Quake III's pak files. The store checks them, copies them into the game's folder, and turns a Nintendo 64 ROM in any byte order into the one the game reads.
- Keep my saves. For games that say where they keep their saves, Delete now offers Keep my saves: everything else goes, and your saves are still there when you install the game again.

v1.0.5 · Oct 13, 2026
Delete now removes everything a game made in its own folder, saves and settings included.
What's new
- Delete works on folders a game made for itself. Some games create their own folders when they run (saves, settings, caches) and keep them private to the game, and the PS5 refused those even to the store, so Delete stopped with "the console refused, error 13". The store's helper now steps in as that folder's owner to remove it, then switches back. Seen with Dusklight's userdata folder.
- If no payload loader is running, the store now says that only its helper can remove such a folder, instead of asking you to close the game.

v1.0.4 · Oct 13, 2026
The store can now install ports whose release only has a source zip, starting with The Simpsons Game.
What's new
- Ports packed inside a bigger zip. Some ports don't attach a zip of their PS5 files, only a source zip that has them inside. The store now downloads it, takes out just the PS5 files, checks them, and installs them like any other game. The big download is deleted afterwards.
- The Simpsons Game by LoZazaMastro is the first port that uses this. It needs Recomp Store 1.0.4 or newer, and you set it up from your own Xbox 360 disc image.

v1.0.3 · Oct 13, 2026
Games now update straight from GitHub, the store can set up GameCube disc images, and Settings has a Check for updates button.
What's new
- Updates come from GitHub. The store looks at each installed game's GitHub releases when it opens and every 6 hours, so a new release shows up in Latest Updates without waiting for the catalog.
- Check for updates. Settings > General > Check for updates asks GitHub right away about the store and your games.
- GameCube disc images. Games like Wind Waker take your own disc image (.iso, .gcm or .ciso): choose it under Your game files and the store checks it's the right disc and copies it into the game's folder.
- Wind Waker by griches is in the store, for Recomp Store 1.0.3 and newer.
- Ports whose zip name changes with each version are followed to their newest release.

v1.0.2 · Oct 13, 2026
Delete works on the PS5 now, and installing the store always ends on the newest version.
What's new
- Delete works. On the PS5 it used to remove nothing and still say "Deleted". Now it deletes the game's folder and the game files the store set up for it (for Unleashed: the disc files, the Title Update and the Adventure Packs). Your saves stay. If anything can't be deleted, the store says which file, and you can press Delete again.
- Always the newest version. When the installer can't reach GitHub, it installs the copy built into it. Then the store updates itself to the newest release the first time it opens, without you pressing anything.
- If the store couldn't check GitHub for its own update, it tries again a minute later instead of hours later.
After deleting a game, delete its tile from your home screen if it's still there. ShadowMountPlus can't remove it while the store is open.

v1.0.1 · Oct 13, 2026
Sonic Unleashed can now be fully set up from the store, and Delete works properly.
What's new
- Sonic Unleashed: Title Update and Adventure Packs. On the game's page, choose the Title Update (the file whose name starts with
TU_) and any one Adventure Pack, then press Set up game files. The store unpacks them where Unleashed expects them, and sets up every pack in that folder at once. - Delete works properly. It has ShadowMountPlus let go of the game first, removes the game files the store set up (your saves stay), and tells you if another copy of the game is still on the console.
- With two copies of a game on the console, the store now picks the right one.
- Choose the disc, Title Update and packs together, and they're set up one after another.

v1.0.0 · Oct 13, 2026
The first public release of Recomp Store, a homebrew app store for jailbroken PS5.
What it does
- Installs and updates native PS5 ports of recompiled games from their GitHub releases, keeping your game files, saves, DLC and mods
- Sets each game up from your own disc image, at the drive's full speed
- Opens games, has ShadowMountPlus add new games to your home screen, and deletes a game when you're done with it
- Shows every release's patch notes, and updates itself from Latest Updates
Install
Send RecompStore-Installer.elf to your PS5's payload loader on port 9021 (etaHEN, elfldr or another). It downloads PPSA92000.zip from this release, checks it, installs the store, and has ShadowMountPlus put it on your home screen.
Needs kstuff and ShadowMountPlus 1.7 Beta 5 or newer.
No game files are included. Every game needs your own legally obtained copy.
