OneFamily changelog

v1.2.1 · Nov 2, 2026

We are excited to release OneFamily v1.2.1! This update officially introduces field-verified native Bluetooth support for PlayStation 4 Firmware 13.52, alongside an all-new universal VID-First AOB kernel scanner with Greedy Nearest-Pairing designed to automatically detect and patch the /dev/bt controller allowlist across any other GoldHEN firmware versions (5.05 - 11.00+).

Key Improvements & Highlights

1. Pre-Verified Zero-Delay Static Table for FW 13.52

  • Native 0 ms Instant Activation: Extracted and integrated the exact 12 allowlist offsets (static_1352[12]) for PS4 Firmware 13.52.
  • Fast Integrity Verification: Performs an ultra-fast 1-cycle CPU layout check before patching Ring 0 memory, eliminating any scan overhead or delays at boot.
  • register_dualsense = 0 Certified: Natively validated with the Orbis OS /dev/bt kernel subsystem, enabling immediate, seamless pairing of Sony DualSense & DualSense Edge controllers.

2. Universal VID-First AOB Dynamic Scanner (Success Rate > 90%)

  • VID-First Clustering: Scans safe kernel memory ([0x4E0000, 0x660000)) directly for rare Thrustmaster Vendor ID comparisons (0x044F), completely bypassing generic x86-64 stack frame anchors and eliminating false positives.
  • Strict Opcode Verification (aob_is_cmp_imm): Accurately differentiates CMP instructions from regular memory allocations (PAGE_SIZE), preventing false triggers.
  • Greedy Nearest-Pairing Engine: Automatically pairs each discovered Vendor ID with its companion Product ID located within the same function block, resolving previous registration errors and ensuring both values are correctly patched simultaneously.
  • Discovered Offsets Logging: Automatically logs discovered hex offsets to /data/onefamily/onefamily.log on newly encountered firmware versions.

3. Dual-Firmware Pre-Verified Architecture & Dynamic Fallback

  • FW 12.50: 10 pre-verified offsets (0 ms boot).
  • FW 13.52: 12 pre-verified offsets (0 ms boot).
  • All other firmwares (5.05 - 11.00+): Universal dynamic VID-First AOB scanner automatically engages on boot.

Installation & Update

  1. Download and install onefamily_companion.pkg using GoldHEN Package Installer.
  2. Launch OneFamily Companion from your home screen once to apply and verify the payload installation.
  3. Restart your PS4 console to launch the new OneFamily background daemon via GoldHEN autoboot.

v1.2.0 · Nov 1, 2026

We are thrilled to present the official OneFamily v1.2.0 release! This landmark update brings native Sony DualSense (PS5) & DualSense Edge wireless Bluetooth support for fw 12.50 only (I'm working hard to support all FWs avalaible, give me time), a dual-slot Virtual Pad architecture with native system multi-user / co-op account selection, an authentic 60 FPS procedural PS4 XMB dynamic wave background, a 3-tier universal rumble system for generic HID gamepads, and major stability fixes across Orbis OS kernels (FW 5.05 - 13.52+).

Key Improvements & Highlights

1. Native PS5 DualSense & DualSense Edge Bluetooth Wireless Support for FW 12.50

  • Ring 0 Kernel Allowlist Patch: Native integration of the Orbis OS kernel allowlist patch, allowing PlayStation 5 DualSense and DualSense Edge controllers to pair wirelessly over Bluetooth without disabling standard DualShock 4 pads.
  • Hybrid Multi-Firmware Compatibility:
  • Verified Static Table (FW 12.50): Zero-overhead allowlist execution protected by 64-bit magic header validation (0x56415741E5894855UL) and synchronized bthid_lock / bthid_unlock mutexes.
  • Safe Ring 0 AOB Dynamic Scanner: Dynamic signature scanner for other firmwares (9.00, 11.00, 13.00, 13.52+) verifying target opcode patterns within tight safety bounds.
  • Zero-Panic Safety Guarantee: Memory write protection (CR0 WP) is strictly preserved unless all integrity checkpoints pass.
  • 64-bit Syscall Architecture (daemon_sys_call6): Dedicated inline assembly register constraints guaranteeing clean 64-bit pointers and resolving sys_kevent -EFAULT (-14).
  • 250 Hz Low-Latency Reporting: Extended 78-byte Bluetooth report parser with CRC32 verification and 10-byte simple report fallback.

2. Dual-Slot Virtual Pad & Native Multi-User / Co-op Support

  • Dual-Slot Architecture: Simultaneous connection support for two controllers (e.g., DualSense via Bluetooth + Xbox pad over USB, or physical DS4 + Virtual DS4).
  • Native User Selection (sceUserServiceRequestSelectUser): Automatically prompts the official PS4 account picker when a new controller connects, assigning independent user profiles.
  • Seamless Handover & Clean Teardown: Automatically powers off physical DS4s assigned to the same user slot to prevent input collision, and handles modal cancellations gracefully.

3. 3-Tier Universal Rumble System for Generic Controllers

  • Comprehensive Rumble Support:
  • Tier 1 (Auto-Detect): Automatically identifies standard HID rumble signatures.
  • Tier 2 (INI Presets): Built-in presets for Logitech, ShanWan, DragonRise, GreenAsia, Betop, 8BitDo, and more.
  • Tier 3 (Raw Hex Directives): Full custom packet support (rumble_report = 05 L R 00 00) for boutique gamepads.
  • Non-Destructive Profile Upgrader: Updates existing user controller profiles with the [Rumble] section during PKG installation while preserving all custom button remappings.
  • Heartbeat Rumble Polling: Reads motor offsets [3..4] from scePadVirtualDeviceGetRemoteSetting with a 100 ms keep-alive heartbeat.

4. Procedural PS4 XMB Dynamic Wave Background & PlayStation Blue Theme

  • XMB / Flow Wave Animation: Smooth multi-layered sinusoidal wave curves rendered procedurally with floating dust particles reminiscent of the native PS4 OS system theme.
  • Zero-Stall RAM Compositing (Solid 60 FPS): Rendered to a high-speed L1/L2 RAM cache compositing buffer before flushing to framebuffers, eliminating uncached VRAM reads.
  • PlayStation Blue Color Palette: All navigation icons, badges, borders, and UI accents restyled with authentic PlayStation Blue tones (#0070D1, #00A2FF).

v1.1.4 · Oct 27, 2026

Changes in v1.1.4

DualSense & DualSense Edge Communication Fixes

  • Implemented full standard 64-byte USB Output Report (Report ID 0x02) complying with official Sony/Linux specifications, replacing previously truncated 48-byte packets that caused endpoint stalls.
  • Configured mandatory hardware valid flag masks (valid_flag0: compatible vibration and haptics select; valid_flag1: lightbar and player indicator control).
  • Added visual connection confirmation: DualSense now illuminates solid PlayStation Blue on the lightbar and activates the Player 1 center dot LED upon connection, taking the controller out of passive charging mode.
  • Implemented dual-channel wake-up handshake: output reports are sent via Interrupt OUT, with automatic fallback to USB Control Transfer (SET_REPORT) if interrupt pipe communication fails.
  • Implemented automatic input endpoint fallback: polls primary endpoint 0x84, and gracefully falls back to endpoint 0x81 if no reports are received, ensuring compatibility across all firmware revisions and USB hub topologies.
  • Updated rumble packet generation to full 64-byte structures to ensure uninterrupted in-game vibration feedback.

Payload & Companion App Alignment

  • Updated daemon and Companion App version numbers to v1.1.4 (01.14).
  • Bundled the updated payload inside onefamily_companion.pkg for automatic guided payload synchronization upon launch.

  • Aligned raw 12-bit ADC stick data with PlayStation DualShock 4 coordinate space.

Disconnection & Original PS4 Controller Handover Fix

  • Fixed an issue where disconnecting a USB controller could freeze or lock out the physical PS4 DualShock 4 controller.
  • Improved physical disconnection detection in the USB driver: connection status is now continuously evaluated across all transfer states, including interrupt timeouts.
  • On disconnect, the daemon cleanly unregisters and shuts down the Virtual Pad device, immediately releasing session ownership and restoring control to the original PlayStation controller.

Companion App & Daemon Alignment

  • Updated daemon and Companion App version numbers to v1.1.3 (01.13).
  • Bundled the updated payload inside onefamily_companion.pkg for automatic guided payload synchronization upon launch.
