Install on your PS4

Payload (.elf): start an ELF loader on the PS4 first, such as elfldr, which listens on port 9021. Then from a computer on the same network, send it the file: nc <PS4 address> 9021 < fan_control.elf, or the link, and elfldr downloads it: echo https://store.brewology.com/dl/6150/fan_control.elf | nc <PS4 address> 9021.

About Fan control

An .elf alternative to the PS4 Temperature app by Lapy, LM, Zeco, AlAzif and Zer0xFF. The first time it runs it creates /data/fan_control/fan_control.ini. Set threshold there to anything from 60 to 80 (°C), default 65. A higher number lets the console get hotter before the fan ramps up, and anything outside the range falls back to the default.

It reads the setting back after writing it, shows a notification and logs what it did to /data/fan_control/fan_control.log.

The author calls it a work in progress and has only run it on a PS4 Pro CUH-7106B on firmware 12.52, the only PS4 they have.
