About VirtuaNES

bubble2k16's port of VirtuaNES. The author says it isn't as accurate as FCEUX or Nestopia but runs almost every game at 60 FPS. Mapper support is wide: MMC1, 3, 5 and 6, VRC1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7, and plenty more.

Some MMC5 bugs from the original VirtuaNES are fixed, and hacks like Rockman 4 Minus Infinity and Zelda: The Legend of Link play.

v1.02 · Mar 20, 2018

  • Fixed bug in MMC5 mapper that was causing Castlevania 3's graphics to corrupt.
  • Optimized rendering to 16-bit buffer to reduce cache misses, and minor optimizations for MMC5 rendering.
  • Fixed occassional crashing bug when loading a ROM.
