About 3DSController
The 3DS app talks to 3DSController.exe on your PC over the local network. Buttons come through as keyboard keys. To use the Circle Pad or touch screen as a joystick you also need vJoy on the PC, and the author recommends version 2.0.5-120515.
- Copy 3DSController.ini from the 3DS folder in the zip to the root of the SD card
- Change the line IP: 192.168.0.4 to your PC's local IP. 3DSController.exe shows it if you're not sure
- Run 3DSController.exe on the PC and let it through the firewall
- Start the app on the 3DS. There's no menu. It connects by itself, and a black screen means it's working
L, R and X together bring up the keyboard. Key bindings are in the PC's copy of 3DSController.ini, and the port can be changed in both copies. On Linux there are Python scripts in place of the EXE. The 3DS app and the PC program have to come from the same release. The project is archived, and the last release is from 2015.
