yPaint Anniversary Edition update v2007-08-16
Install on your PSP
Archive: extract yPaint_AE2_NeoFlash_brewology_com.rar and take the PSP folder from inside yPaint_AE2_NeoFlash/yPaint_AE/. It is laid out from the root of the Memory Stick: copy it there, so you have /PSP/GAME/yPaint/.
Start it from Game › Memory Stick. On a PSP Go without a Memory Stick, use /PSP/GAME/ on the internal storage.

Yongobongo has released what could very well be the last version of yPaint. According to the developer, those who downloaded the patch or the older version should switch to this one instead. Both the patch and the older version won't work, but this one will.
Anyway, the one big thing included in this version of yPaint Anniversary Edition is that it now works with custom firmwares as well as firmware 1.50. Again, make sure to download this version so you can proceed with doodling to your heart's content.
Yongobongo also mentioned that the source code for yPaint may be released soon as this will probably be the last release of this particular homebrew application.
