v0.2 · Jan 13, 2008
With the release of the Nanodesktop update that provides compatibility with custom firmwares and the PSP Slim, homebrew developer Andrea Badiali (a.k.a. andbad) has released a new version of Visual Application. The app is now compatible with the Slim and CFWs.
If you remember, Visual Application is the first third-party program developed from the Nanodesktop Software Development Kit. Here are the developer's notes for Visual Application v0.2:
I have released the first update of VisualApplication, the first 3rd party Nanodesktop application. This homebrew provides a calculator, a text to speech synthesizer and a WAV/MP3 graphical player.
It is based on the API of Nanodesktop library. This version is now compatible with CF and Slim. Readme file in english language included.
Users are advised to go through the readme included in the download. The documentation, features and known bugs. Please visit our forums for questions or discussions on the application.
v0.1 · Nov 21, 2007
Developer Pegasus2000 - the brains behind the PSP's Nanodesktop devkit - has just announced that fellow coder Andrea Badiali has released Visual Application v.0.1 for the community's use. This homebrew is based on the API of Nanodesktop library, and currently carries a calculator, a text to speech synthesizer and a WAV/MP3 graphical player.
We advise users to be extra careful in handling this app, given that all its instructions are Italian. Installation is the same as most homebrew (copy the EBOOT to the PSP's GAME folder). The app's interface also carries English instructions, so it shouldn't be too hard to navigate.
Users will want to know that this is still a beta build, and that the author plans to release a updated version in the near future. Users will also want to visit pegasus2000's post over at the QJ.NET PSP Development Forums for further details.
