Install on your PSP

Archive: extract tsundoku.v1.2.0.zip into a folder of its own in /PSP/GAME/ on the Memory Stick, so EBOOT.PBP sits in that folder.

Start it from Game › Memory Stick. On a PSP Go without a Memory Stick, use /PSP/GAME/ on the internal storage.

Homebrew needs custom firmware such as ARK-5. New to PSP homebrew? Start here.

About tsundoku

Put a mangas folder inside the Tsundoku folder, with one subfolder per series holding its .cbz volumes. A cover.jpg or cover.png in a series folder is used as its thumbnail. Select scans the library, and the thumbnails are cached after the first scan.

Pages can fit the width, fit the screen or turn 90 degrees. There's a 1.25x and 1.75x magnifier, auto-crop for page margins in the Start menu, and it remembers where you stopped.

- L and R: previous and next page
- Analog stick: scroll, or pan the magnifier
- Square: magnifier
- Circle: view mode, or in the library, resume the last manga
- Triangle: back to the library
- Select: help

  • Bilinear Anti-Aliasing: Smooth scaling across all manga pages and library covers, eliminating crunchy/pixelated edges.
  • Improved Grid View: Now displays 8 items per page (4x2) instead of 4, with rebalanced 1:1.42 aspect ratio covers and centered margins.
  • Fixed Title Layout: Bottom row titles now render cleanly without getting cut off.

Bug Fixes

  • Thumbnail Cache Crash: Fixed out-of-memory errors on initial scan by using hardware-level scaled decoding for high-res covers.
  • Clean Exit (No Shutdowns): Fixed stack overflow on HOME exit callback that caused the console to freeze/power off.
  • Reliable Directory Scanning: Fixed Memory Stick path resolution and folder detection across all PSP models and CFWs.
