PSPTetris changelog
v2007-11-24 · Nov 24, 2007
Sometimes the classic games are still the best. Homebrew developer teacake probably feels the same way since he has released PSP Tetris. This is the developers first PSP game, and it's looking pretty good.
The developer mentioned that the game is "almost in 3D" since it is based on the cube sample of the PSP Software Development Kit (SDK). It was also mentioned that the applications still doesn't have sound, level selection, or additional game modes, but he plans on adding this in future releases.
Those who plan on using the application code as a basis for their work should go over the license code included with the program to avoid any problems. Be sure to go over the readme before doing anything since it has the installation instructions as well as the controls of the game. That said, download the game and try it out.

Yuriy Y. Yermilov (aka binaryONE) has created Tetris games for for the unix console as well as for the Ti89. With two Tetris credits under his belt, it's not surprising that he released a version for the PSP, simply called PSPTetris. As with other homebrew Tetris, the object of the game is to manipulate the Tetris pieces to create a horizontal line of blocks without gaps.
As the game is still in its beta, it's best not to expect much in terms of design and graphics. If you're used to vibrant colors of Sandberg's PSPTris, you might not be able to appreciate the old-school look and feel of the PSPTetris. Now, the only things binaryONE need to do is add the menus, score, lines, etc.
