PSPInstaller changelog

PSPInstaller is an application that helps the end-user easily download and install homebrew, much like the Cydia store on the iPhone or similar stores for the Wii. The application was made with you in mind so steps have been taken to ensure that you can install files and play them as quickly and easily as possible.
Install this application by putting it into your GAME or GAME5XX folder! Make sure you run the in-app update in the About section to ensure you have the latest features!

A new version of homebrew dev spike_132000's PSPInstaller, a Cydia-like app that allows you to easily install homebrews, themes and plugins, is now out and ready for download.

Version 5 of spike_132000's PSPInstaller is now out folks. In case you're note familiar with the app, PSPInstaller is a handy file downloader for the PSP that is similar to the iPhone's Cydia.

Release notes:

PSPInstaller 5 is the successor of PSPInstaller 4.12. PSPInstaller runs on both OFW and CFW and allows the users to easily install homebrew, themes and plugins. The Process is simply, browse the file database, select the file, and choose to download and install it straight away, or download it now and install it later! When the process is complete you can exit to the XMB to play the new downloaded game/application, or install the new CXMB theme.

This version will (eventually) also feature Featured Apps/Games/Themes. I am hoping (to pay for server costs) that people will want to advertise there stuff within PSPInstaller so it appears on the front page (see screenshots below) and may well be the first thing that users will see.

I am looking to take on 4 apps/themes/games for the full initial release of PSPInstaller, So if you are interrested. Please give me a shout. Details can be found within the download and within the application.

pike_132000 and Corrosion's PSPInstaller has also received a new update today that fixes some major issues from the previous release "that prevented PSPInstaller from getting to the main menu screen."

PSP coder spike_132000 has dropped by our forums to update his PSPInstaller, a handy file uploader for the PSP that lets you download homebrew files from its repository, similar to the iPhone's Cydia.

Developer's note:

This fixes a potential error if the sourcelist.lua is not created correctly after upgrading the repo (veeery rare). After rebooting would say creating blank then it would crash. This fixes this error.

What?!? :
It is an application that will automatically download and install homebrew games and apps, saves, wallpapers, movies, music... anything really... but only if the repository that you select has those files for download!

Changes:

-> New Scrolling Menu System, no page system anymore!! Scroll up and down through the menu's!
-> Repository System, this allows other people to host games, apps, anything really! So im not so depended on anymore
-> Install anything to anywhere on the PSP System, not just restricted to certain folders because PSPInstaller now treats the zip file as if it is the ROOT of the memory stick when it installs things!
-> No repetative Start WLAN, Stop WLAN, it's needs to be on for the app to work now otherwise, you'll get kicked out It will initialise at the start of the application! If you switch your WLAN Switch to off while the app is running and your not in the middle of downloading something it will tell you that Wireless is needed, if your downloading something, then it will just wait on that screen forever (NO FIX FOR THIS).
