About psp-rpi-car
The PSP sends the buttons to a server on a Raspberry Pi, which drives a Freenove three-wheeled car and streams a USB camera back as JPEG frames. You need the Freenove kit and shield, a Pi 3 or 4 with Raspberry Pi OS, and a PSP that runs homebrew.
- Run the setup script from pi-car-server.zip on the Pi. It turns the Pi's Wi-Fi into an access point, so use Ethernet or a second adapter if you need SSH. Note the SSID and password in the script.
- On the PSP, connect to that access point in Network Settings, then start PSP_RPI_CAR.
- Speed, steering steps and the camera size are set in server.ini on the Pi.
- Triangle (hold): forward
- Cross (hold): reverse
- Circle: stop
- L and R: steer
- D-Pad: pan and tilt the camera
- Home: quit
