About PSP PMD Visualizer
Plays PMD songs, the PC-98 FM format, synthesising the YM2608 on the PSP's Media Engine while the main CPU draws a piano roll or an FMP-style display. Each of the 11 parts can be soloed or muted, and songs can be saved as WAV with one or two loops and an optional fade.
It needs custom firmware. The author runs it on a PSP-1000 with 6.60 PRO-B10 and a PSP Go with ARK-4. Put .M files anywhere on the Memory Stick and Select searches for them, or put them in PSP/GAME/PMDVIS/songs/.
The rhythm channels need Yamaha's YM2608 ADPCM rhythm ROM, which isn't included. Without ym2608_adpcm_rom.bin in the PMDVIS folder they're silent and the rest plays.
- Circle: play, or pause while playing
- Cross: back to the list, or quit from the list
- Left and Right: switch visualizer
- Up and Down, Triangle: pick a part and mute it
- Square: unmute all, or in the list, WAV export
- L and R: change song
- L + R: screenshot
