Get!T changelog
v0.4 · May 5, 2008
Grabbing files has become more easy and efficient with the latest version of Team Chilt's Get!T v0.4 which was just released recently. With this latest version, users now have the ability to simultaneously download multiples files into their own handheld consoles.
Aside from this great feature, Maxy_PSP also jot down some of the things that they have included in the latest release. Here are the thing which are notable in v0.4:
- Simultaneous Downloads
- The updater ensures the current version before downloading
- Fixed a bug in the download function HTTP
Furthermore, do check out the readme file that's included in the archive. It'll do you guys a lot of good if you go through it before you guys install the homebrew application. That's about it for the update on the Get!T program. Without further ado, the download link has been provided below.
v0.2 · May 1, 2008
PSP homebrew developers are known for continually updating their applications. Such is the case with Team Chilt, who has added new features to the previous version of Get!T program for the Sony PSP to bring you Get!T v0.2.
These are the new features that Team Chilt has added, according to Maxy_PSP:
- Update feature
- Use of graphics
- Custom error codes
- Set path to extract ZIP file
- Menu
- Battery warning at startup
Maxy_PSP pointed out the usefulness of Team Chilt's custom error code in particular. When you use Get!T v0.2 and you get an error, the trick is to write down the error code and to see where you went wrong. For example:
- 01x0101 : If the Save Path is not a File
o WRONG : 'ms0:/file'
o CORRECT : 'ms0:/file.png'
- 01x0201 : The Download URL does not exist or is not a file
o WRONG : 'file.zip',
o WRONG : '
o CORRECT : '
- 01x0301 : If your Savepath is a http:// URl
o WRONG : 'http//
o CORRECT : 'ms0:/savefile.zip'
Maxy_PSP also noted that users may opt to download new Get!t updates via the "check for updates" feature. As with PSP homebrew applications, kindly exercise caution when downloading and installing them on your Sony handheld.
v0.1.1 · Apr 28, 2008
With the homebrew Get!T, coders Team Chilt present us with "a download app to download (and unzip) files." It may sound simple but its previous build is already equipped with an On Screen Keyboard (OSK) interface. Today, Team Chilt updates Get!T to version 0.1.1 to add some more improvements.
Version 0.1.1 brings us fixes for a slower speed for the OSK and a bug in the download mode. Now, Team Chilt assures us that downloading will work properly.
With a vision to make Get!T a "FileZilla for the PSP," the devs have given us a few things to look forward to with future releases. They are even welcoming input from you so head over the Visit link for your two cents. Now, for the planned features:
- UnRAR files
- Play Music files (mp3, ogg, wav, etc)
- Battery warning before download when battery is low
- Filebrowser with file management
- Graphics
- File Upload (Number 1 on To-Do list)
Instructions on how to use are available at the readme file which is included in the homebrew download. Make sure you check this before anything else. Safety first!
v0.1 · Apr 27, 2008
Homebrew developer Maxy_PSP from Team Chilt dropped by the QJ.NET PSP Homebrew Development Forum to release a simple yet convenient homebrew application for the Sony PlayStation Portable. The initial release, Get!T version 0.1, allows users to download files using an interface that utilizes the PSP OSK.
To let you in on what Maxy_PSP came up with, here's the feature list of Get!T:
- Use of PSP OSK (On Screen Keyboard)
- Use of PSP Internet dialog
- Set Download URL
- Set Save URL
- Automatically detect zip files and ask to unzip them
- Can copy files from one place on memorystick to another
- Automatically detect Local(ms0:/) or Web( Links
Since this is the earliest version, Get!T reportedly has a bug that freezes the PSP after users encounter an error message when trying to download. There's also also a good chunk in Maxy_PSP's to-do list, such as allow the homebrew app to unrar files and play music files. We're sure to keep tabs on Get!T as it shapes up, so watch this space for updates!
