Install on your PSP

Archive: extract caprice32-4.2.0.2-1.0.zip and copy the cpc32psp folder into /PSP/GAME/ on the Memory Stick.

Start it from Game › Memory Stick. On a PSP Go without a Memory Stick, use /PSP/GAME/ on the internal storage.

About Caprice32

Unzip caprice32.zip into /PSP/GAME/. There are builds for firmware 1.50 and for later firmware. Disk and tape images load from zips too, and the Disk drive and Tape drive options in the System tab swap them without a reset. Only unzipped disk images can be saved: highlight Disk drive and press Square. An autoload slot in the Options tab loads a save state whenever a game starts.

- L + R: emulator menu

The author notes it's version 4.2.0 of the emulator but with the 4.1.0 renderer, because the newer one runs poorly on the PSP.

  • ZIP file support for disk and tape images
  • Disk images can be saved, ejected and loaded without resetting the system (System tab)
  • Save state autoloading - any save state slot can be designated as the autoload slot (Options tab, disabled by default). Saved games in the autoload slot are loaded any time a game is loaded from the Game tab
  • CPC model is now correctly reset when modified via the System menu
