About M33
The first start creates /data/March33/. Your own disc games go in /data/March33/games/ as .iso, .cso or .chd. Homebrew goes in /data/March33/PSP/GAME/, each EBOOT.PBP in its own folder. Saves sit in PSP/SAVEDATA as on a memory stick, so they copy to and from a real PSP.
Games render at 4x, 1920x1088, with FSR sharpening. Hold L2 to play backwards and R2 to fast-forward. L3 + R3 opens a quick menu with save states and their pictures, rewind, resolution, volume and experimental frame generation, which the developer says shows a 30 fps game at 60. All of PPSSPP's own settings are still there, and RetroAchievements works when the PS4 is online.
With the PSP's own system software installed, M33 can start into the real PSP XMB and play the game boot animation. That's optional, and the developer's guide covers it.
If a game stutters in busy scenes, the developer puts it down to the PS4's CPU and suggests turning rewind off for that game, and Boost Mode on a PS4 Pro.
