About jtplay
A player for the couch, run from the controller. It plays from the console's USB drives, extended storage and /data, from UPnP/DLNA servers on your network (MiniDLNA, Jellyfin, Plex and others) and from JavaScript plugins. The bundled plugins cover internet radio from radio-browser.info, podcasts, Sveriges Radio, SVT Play and Pluto TV.
Folders show as a list or a grid of artwork, sorted by name, date or size. Anything can be made a favourite, and videos remember where you stopped, with a Continue watching shelf on the home screen. The player has chapters, audio and subtitle tracks, speed, night mode, a sleep timer and an Up next countdown for the next file in the folder. Music plays over a visualiser, and photos get a slideshow with pan and zoom.
Cross opens and plays, Circle goes back, and the Options button opens everything that isn't on the D-pad. Plugins are .js files in the plugin folder, and the developer documents how to write one.
