Background payload for ezRemote Client, so package installs and big downloads carry on after you close the client

Tools.elfHuman-written

Install on your PS4

Payload (.elf): start an ELF loader on the PS4 first, such as elfldr, which listens on port 9021. Then from a computer on the same network, send it the file: nc <PS4 address> 9021 < ezremote-server-1.01.elf, or the link, and elfldr downloads it: echo https://store.brewology.com/dl/6050/ezremote-server-1.01.elf | nc <PS4 address> 9021.

About ezRemote Server

Pick a package on a remote server in cy33hc's ezRemote Client, close the client, and the install keeps going. The server payload sits between the console and the remote server and passes the data through.

It takes the same sources as the client: FTP, SFTP, NFS, SMB, WebDAV and HTTP servers, GitHub and direct links. Background installs don't work with the client's Disk Cache option or for a package inside a zip. Installs can be paused and resumed.

Large downloads can run in the background too. Switch that on in the client's Global Settings and set the size it starts at (1 GB by default). Downloads stop in rest mode and pick up again once the server is restarted.

The client starts it by itself and can stop or restart it from its settings. You can also add it to GoldHEN's payload loader. The author warns that queueing a lot of background installs at once can crash it.
