Use a DualShock 3 on the PS4 by USB cable or Bluetooth, with Select standing in for the touchpad
Install on your PS4
Payload (.elf): start an ELF loader on the PS4 first, such as elfldr, which listens on port 9021. Then from a computer on the same network, send it the file: nc <PS4 address> 9021 < controller-3-to-4-bridge-1.3.0.elf, or the link, and elfldr downloads it: echo https://store.brewology.com/dl/6466/controller-3-to-4-bridge-1.3.0.elf | nc <PS4 address> 9021.

About DualShock 3 bridge
Runs on the console as a GoldHEN payload and passes the DS3 on as a virtual DualShock 4, with no PC, phone or network involved. Plug it in with a mini-USB data cable, or unplug it and press PS to go over Bluetooth. For Bluetooth the DS3 has to be paired to the PS4 already, since the bridge can't pair it. There's no rumble.
Buttons that differ from a DualShock 4:
- Start: Options
- Hold Select: touch the centre of the touchpad
- Select + right stick: move across the touchpad
- Select + R3: click the touchpad
- Tap Select: Share
Choose USB or Bluetooth before you open a game. Switching makes a new virtual controller, and some games lose input until you reopen them. Run one copy at a time. If it's in GoldHEN's AutoRun, don't also start it by hand, and turn off the old AutoRun entry when you update.
veildarkness001 ran version 1.2.3 on firmware 13.52 with GoldHEN 2.4b18.12 and an original Sony DS3. Third-party pads, rest mode and other firmware haven't been tried yet.
