About Crema
The DualShock 4 plays the part of the Wii U GamePad in this Cemu port. Clicking the touchpad touches the GamePad screen where your finger is, and tilting the controller moves its gyro. L3 + R3 opens a menu to swap the TV and GamePad screens, change settings or quit. The Pro Controller, Classic Controller and Wii Remote with Nunchuk can be emulated for local multiplayer.
Start it once to create /data/Crema/, then put your own games in /data/Crema/games/. It takes unpacked game folders, .wua, .wud, .wux, .wuhb, NUS folders and homebrew .rpx files. Updates and DLC go in Crema's Wii U storage under /data/Crema/mlc01/, sorted by title ID, and the developer's guide shows the exact folders. The developer says games often need their latest update to run well. Some disc images, and online play on Pretendo Network, need files from your own Wii U, also listed in the guide.
Cemu's community graphic packs download inside the app and switch on per game. The developer says to stay away from the Extended Memory packs, which crash on the PS4. It downloads the developer's recommended settings for known games from GitHub each time it opens. The developer says the first few minutes of a game are slow while its code and shaders compile. Those caches are kept, and caches from Cemu on a PC work too.
Recent versions add save states, a network game library over SMB or NFS, and an updater inside the app.
