About Bluetooth Audio
Patches the console's own Bluetooth in memory so Bluetooth Classic headphones can connect, then streams game sound to them. The TV can keep playing or go quiet. It's output only, so no microphone or chat.
The developer wrote it for firmware 13.52 (13.520.001) and nothing else. The payload looks for the kernel code it expects first and refuses to run on anything that doesn't match. The patch is gone after a reboot. Sound has come through on the developer's QCY AilyBuds Pro and Baseus Bass BS1 NC, and they say others may or may not work. They call it experimental, made on one console.
The app starts the audio service itself by sending it to GoldHEN's BinLoader on port 9090, so BinLoader has to be on. BinLoader takes one payload until you restart, so don't send it from a PC as well. Put the headphones in pairing mode, then scan. If they were paired with the PS4 before, forget them in Settings, Devices, Bluetooth Devices first.
- Triangle: scan, or disconnect the headphones while connected
- D-pad: pick headphones
- Cross: connect, or start the service if it isn't running
- Square: TV sound on or off
- Circle: close the app (the sound carries on)
There's also a control page on port 8097 for any browser on your network. It has no login, so someone else on the network can change the volume or stop it. The last headphones are remembered.
Some pairs connect but stay silent and need a reconnect or two, which 2.7.5 now tries by itself, and game loads can cause short glitches. An early build made the wireless controller drop out. The developer says the current one cured that on their console, but try it with your own controller. If the service won't start, the log is /data/bta_audio/app.log.

Downloads
- Bluetooth-Audio-2.7.5.pkg: the PS4 home-screen app (title ID BTAD00001). Copy it to
/data/pkg/on the console and install it with GoldHEN's Package Installer (package source: HDD). If an older version is installed, delete it first. - ps4-bt-audio-v2.7.5.zip: full source, prebuilt payload, tools and README.
- SHA256SUMS.txt: checksums for both files.
What's new
- Joint stereo by default. Audio is sent as standard joint-stereo SBC, the format headphones agree to when they connect. This fixes headphones that connected but played nothing. It can be turned off per headphone on the web page.
- Automatic recovery. If the PS4 refuses audio for 4 seconds, the service drops the Bluetooth link and reconnects by itself.
- Disconnect really disconnects. The Disconnect button drops the Bluetooth link, so the next connect starts fresh.
- Steadier sending. Audio goes out from its own real-time thread, scheduled like the PS4's own Bluetooth audio senders.
- The test tone follows the volume slider.
- Per-second timing diagnostics at
GET /api/timing.
Experimental. PS4 firmware 13.520.001 only. Tested with QCY AilyBuds Pro and Baseus Bass BS1 NC. See the README for install steps and known issues.
