Payload (.elf): start an ELF loader on the PS4 first, such as elfldr, which listens on port 9021. Then from a computer on the same network, send it the file: nc <PS4 address> 9021 < AnyController.elf, or the link, and elfldr downloads it: echo https://store.brewology.com/dl/6125/AnyController.elf | nc <PS4 address> 9021.

About AnyController
Reads a wired controller over USB and feeds it to the system as a virtual DualShock 4, through the same virtual-device API Remote Play uses. The console asks who's using the controller and you pick the user. A real DualShock 4 can stay connected and keeps working. It grew out of crucifix86's xbox_controller_plugin, which made the pad player 2.
It knows the Xbox 360, Xbox One and Series and Switch Pro layouts, and tries other HID gamepads from their descriptor. On a console, the developer has only confirmed a Manba One V2 in Xbox 360 mode on firmware 11.00. Logs from other users show it working on 9.00 and 13.52. The DualSense, the wireless Xbox 360 receiver and PS3 pads don't work yet, and it's input only: no rumble, motion or haptics.
Run AnyController.elf from GoldHEN's Payloader LaunchPad (GoldHEN 2.4b18.10 or later), or add it to AutoRun. On pads without a touchpad, L3 and R3 together click it. There's no stop button: switching the controller off removes the virtual pad, and a reboot stops the payload.
The newest releases are betas. A separate tools release has a PC Inspector for Windows and Linux that records what your controller sends, for reporting pads that aren't supported yet.
