With FBI (Remote Install › Scan QR Code) or 3dsDL (Scan QR Code). Either one installs it.

Open 3dsDL › Receive on the same Wi-Fi, then press:
Send to 3dsDL

Other ways to install

System module from your SD card: copy 0004013000004002.cxi to /luma/sysmodules/0004013000004002.cxi. Then hold SELECT while powering on and turn on "Enable loading external FIRMs and modules" in the Luma3DS configuration. A system module replaces part of the console's own system. Take it only from a project you trust and read its release notes first.

About wumiibo

A rewrite of the 3DS NFC system module that can stand in for amiibo. 0004013000004002.cxi is the replacement module and wumiibohelper.cia is the helper app that goes with it. The usage guide on the project's wiki covers setup. It needs the latest Luma3DS.

It runs through Luma's game patching, so to use real amiibo again, turn game patching off in the Luma menu.

Some games freeze after the wumiibo menu closes. For those, start the game, press HOME, open the wumiibo menu from there, then go back to the game. Don't open the wumiibo menu inside those games. The compatibility list on the wiki says which ones.

This is the seventh public release of wumiibo.
The following QOL changes have been made:

  • Update Wumiibohelper and Wumiibo to support the recently released luma v13.0.
  • Fix amiibo entries for Hey Pikmin!
