Install on your 3DS
Method 1Scan the QR code
With FBI (Remote Install › Scan QR Code) or 3dsDL (Scan QR Code). Either one installs it.
Method 2Send it to your 3DS
Open 3dsDL › Receive on the same Wi-Fi, then press:

From your SD card: copy Spotify3DS.3dsx into /3ds/ and start it from the Homebrew Launcher.
Send can't find your 3DS? Type the address 3dsDL shows on Receive, then press Send.

About spotify3ds
Music plays on whatever device Spotify is using. The 3DS is the remote. You need Spotify Premium and a one-time setup on a computer. The Spotify3DS-Setup app for Windows, macOS or Linux walks you through making a Spotify app to get a client ID, then shows a QR code. Choose Scan Setup QR in Spotify3DS and scan it. There's also a Python script for doing it by hand.
Setup leaves a creds.cfg in a spotify folder on the SD card. It holds a token, not your password, but anyone who has it can see your library and control your playback, so keep it to yourself. You can revoke it under Apps in your Spotify account settings.
The top screen shows the cover, artist, album and track. The bottom screen switches between the player, your library (recently played, playlists and saved albums, all searchable) and lyrics from LRCLIB.
- L / R: volume down / up, on any screen
- A: play or pause
- X: open the library from the player, or queue the selected track
- Y: hide or show the cover art
- Start: lyrics for the current track
- B: back
- Hold L and press Start: exit

What changed
- Added support for displaying names and playlist covers of personalised Spotify playlists (e.g. daylist, Chill Mix, ...).
- When you press back, will go to start of song, except if you're already near the start in which case will go to previous song.
