QR code of the download link for b9s_check.firm

A FIRM payload runs with full control of the console. Take it only from a project you trust and read its release notes first.

Method 1Scan the QR code
With 3dsDL (Scan QR Code). Save it to sdmc:/luma/payloads/.

Method 2Send it to your 3DS
Open 3dsDL › Receive on the same Wi-Fi, then press:
Send to 3dsDL
It saves to 3dsDL's Download Folder (Settings), so set that to sdmc:/luma/payloads/ first. Updating? Use Method 1: Send keeps the old file next to the new one.

Other ways to install

Payload from your SD card: copy b9s_check.firm into /luma/payloads/. Hold START while powering on to pick it from Luma's chainloader.

About b9s_check

A .firm payload, not a normal app. Run b9s_check.firm from a chainloader, for example Luma3DS by holding Start while the console boots. It reads FIRM0 and FIRM1 and tells you what's installed in each: boot9strap, fastboot3DS or a Native Firm version.

By zoogie, built on a cut-down copy of d0k3's OpenFirmInstaller.

Release notes

v2.0 · There's a lot of firms out there · May 24, 2022

Initial good release. Checks for a lot of different types of firms: b9s, fastboot3DS, and Native Firm.
Checks both firm partitions too (FIRM0 is the one that's usually booted though).
